Noni Carter is a speculative and historical fiction writer, a Ph.D. candidate and instructor Columbia University, a freelance editor, and pianist. After the publication of her first book, she has given motivational and literary talks and workshops in the States, France, and Martinique. Noni has taught writing and literature to middle school students, French, and beginning/intermediate piano for young people ages four and up. Noni enjoys spending time with immediate and surrogate family gathered on her many adventures. You might find her bowling, trying her hand at a Margaret Bonds piano piece, or musing over the next black female speculative heroine postured to effect concrete change.
